Stamp issued in 1969 to mark the bicentenary of the birth of naturalistic Georges Cuvier (1769-1832).
The design is the work of Clément Serveau, the engraving that of Jean Pheulpin.
The original format, perforations included, is 26 x 40 millimeters.
It was issued 4 630 000 copies of this stamp from May 1969 to January 1970.
